Potassium hydroxide, often known as Caustic Potash (KOH), is an inorganic alkaline chemical created by electrolyzing water and potassium chloride in diaphragm-based cells. Commercially, it is offered in a variety of forms, including crystal, briquettes, flakes, noticeably concentrated solutions, etc. It is a strong base. Caustic potash produces heat when dissolved in alcohol or water and is highly reactive, corrosive, and non-flammable at room temperature.
