There are many recipes for strawberry filling, but this is my favorite one. It is simple to make and has a great flavor.
Ingredients: 1 quart of strawberries, hulled and sliced 2 tablespoons of cornstarch 1/2 cup of sugar Pinch of salt Directions:1. In a large saucepan, combine the strawberries, cornstarch, sugar and salt. Cook over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil.2. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened.3. Let cool before using as filling for cupcakes candles
