In mathematics, solving problems often involves solving equations. We all know the quadratic formula to solve the equation of the form ax2 + bx + c = 0. Similar formulas, though complicated, exist for cubic and quartic polynomials. No simple formulas exist to find the zeros of a polynomial with a degree higher than four. We cannot find a simple formula for equations which involve both transcendental and algebraic functions.
