Kedarnath Tour Package | 2024

The Kedarnath Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage journey to the Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, India. This revered yatra attracts millions of devotees and tourists every year, who undertake the arduous trek to seek blessings and pay homage to Lord Shiva.

The journey begins from various points like Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Dehradun, with the final destination being Gaurikund, the base camp of the Kedarnath trek. From Gaurikund, pilgrims trek approximately 16 kilometers through picturesque landscapes, passing through dense forests, roaring rivers, and rugged terrain.

Upon reaching Kedarnath, devotees are greeted by the magnificent sight of the ancient Kedarnath Temple, which stands amidst the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas at an altitude of 3,583 meters (11,755 feet) above sea level. The temple, built in the 8th century by Adi Shankaracharya, holds immense religious significance and is believed to have been constructed at the spot where Lord Shiva absolved himself from the guilt of the Kedarnath massacre.

The Kedarnath Yatra is not only a test of one's physical endurance but also a spiritual journey that strengthens one's faith and devotion. The breathtaking beauty of the Himalayas, combined with the spiritual aura of the temple, makes the Kedarnath Yatra a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all those who undertake it.
