Intraosseous or IVD, is the insertion of a silicone implant for the treatment of certain diseases like sickle cell anemia, hemophilia, and some others. These implants can also be used to replace other defective limbs or body parts. There are many different types of such devices. There are two types of Intraosseous Extraction (IUD) techniques commonly used today. The first one is called the Inguinal Cord Dilation and the second is called the Intra-oral Pierson Technique (IUP).
