MDR TB is caused by the development of TB germs that are resistant to standard TB medications. The reasons include:- As a consequence of insufficient or irregular treatment of "ordinary" tuberculosis, either via the use of incorrect medication combinations or the use of single medicines for "ordinary" tuberculosis. If you are exposed to MDR TB via someone who is already sick, you may get the same type of MDR TB. Individuals who do not complete their usual TB treatment and must restart many times may acquire MDR TB.
